Meet the Chef

Chef Federico Lizano is a prominent figure in Costa Rican cuisine, known for his commitment to responsible fishing and seafood. His culinary journey began in 1999 in San José, where he started as a steward at the Club Alemán restaurant. Driven by his passion for flavors, aromas, and textures, he pursued formal culinary education at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.

Throughout his career, Lizano has focused on showcasing local ingredients and promoting Costa Rican culinary traditions. He has held various positions in renowned establishments on Costa Rica, México and Provence, France, (southern part). His work emphasizes the importance of sustainable and local practices in the culinary world.
